Rockin’ Thursday XXXVIII and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Visit

This month, Foreigner was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. The induction also honored Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Kool & the Gang, Ozzy Osbourne, among others. Today, I’m including one of Foreigner’s hits and sharing a few photos from our visit to that wonderful place this past weekend. It’s Rock & Roll Heaven.

Foreigner is a British-American rock band formed in New York City in 1976. Their biggest hit, I Want to Know What Love Is, is a power ballad released in 1984. The song reached the number 1 spot in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, the U.K., and the U.S. in 1985.

Enjoy the video and the photos from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and have a wonderful, Rockin’ Thursday!

    1. You’re very welcome, brother. The museum is amazing. We were there for almost four hours, but I can see people staying longer if they play instruments. There are rooms with equipment where people can play instruments and sing using karaoke machines.

        1. We wanted to attend the actual induction ceremony, but it didn’t work out, so we settled for visiting the museum the weekend after the induction. I’m going to find out the details for next year and see if we can make it.

  3. Cool museum. I spent a lot of time in Cleveland in the 1970s – the only thing I remember distinctly was the river catching on fire – it was so polluted. I definitely wasn’t there at the right time in history.
