Blogging Milestone: Meeting in Person

Almost a month ago, I had the pleasure of meeting my friend Rebecca from Fake Flamenco. The plan was to visit Madison, Wisconsin, meet Rebecca and her family, and check out the Gleam night exhibit at the Olbrich Botanical Gardens, which Rebecca had written about and recommended. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the exhibit due to bad weather, but the highlight of the trip was meeting Rebecca. We wrote a post describing our experience, which was published on Rebecca’s blog, and I invite you to check it out. I always say that blogging is an amazing experience, but I never thought I would meet a fellow blogger in person. I’m so happy that my first experience meeting someone in person was with Rebecca. We’d love to hear if you’ve had similar experiences.

  1. What fun to visit beautiful Madison, WI and meet your blogging friend in person! I just read her piece and signed up to follow her blog, too. I haven’t met a blogging friend in person, but I hope to have an experience similar to yours one day!

  2. Bravo Edward for taking time to meet a fellow Blogger and it is rare to meet a Blogger face to face, this is nice, I have to say😊💯

Also, as Bloggers we need to TEAM up together and share our Creativity and Expertise. I wish to meet some Bloggers who are well known too on this Jetpack app like SADJE or Keep it alive blog.

Take care Mr. Edward. I have to say, this is my first time commenting on your Blog💯👍

  3. Such a wonderful experience, Edward! Quite beyond the blogging involvement! Though blogging by itself brings wonderful connections—I got in touch with so many kindred souls, who I consider friends (you included!)—meeting them in person is another level of the blogging experience! And I am glad it was a very positive one for both of you, as it is perceivable by your posts! Thank you for sharing your meeting with us! It makes us think that there are really no limits… for anything in life! Light and blessings to you, my friend!

    1. Thank you very much, Susana. It was truly a wonderful experience, and I hope to meet more bloggers in person. Blogging is such a fantastic way to connect with people from other countries, and I’m grateful to have met you. Blessings to you as well, my friend.

  4. That’s really awesome, Edward! I’m so happy for you both that you got to meet in person and begin a new journey beyond just being blogging acquaintances. If I could, there are definitely a few people I’d love to meet face-to-face to express my affection and appreciation for how special they’ve been to me. I hope this marks the start of even greater things for you both.

  5. Very recently, I came close to meeting a blogging friend. Unfortunately, our schedules conflicted, so we couldn’t work it out. I’m sure we “will” meet though. I have met a couple of online friends from other formats though, and both meetings were great success stories. As you said, all of the preliminary stuff has already been dealt with, so one can just get on with the visiting.
