Today, I’m going with a rock ballad because sometimes you need to take things slow. U2, an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1976, released their song “With or Without You” in 1987. The song became their first number-one hit in both the United States and Canada. About the song, Bono said that “the lyrics had romantic intentions” and added, “there’s nothing more revolutionary than two people loving each other. One, because it’s so uncommon these days, and two, because it’s so difficult to do.”1 Enjoy the video, and have a wonderful, Rockin’ Thursday!
love this song.. great vibes for sure, Edward💗

Always dug the melodic laid back vibe of this song, this was the start of their peak and prime, I dug this song and haunting phrasing of Bono

The song definitely has good vibes. You’re right about that. They were at their peak, and it seemed like they were getting all the music awards back then.

U2 was playing everywhere in 1987, even in Spain!

Absolutely! I remember them winning MTV Music Awards every year throughout the early nineties.

They were the hottest band. I think Bono’s growly voice is unique.

They absolutely were. You’re right about his voice. I saw another video of the same song where his growly voice was very noticeable.

I remember this song from when I taught high school. A student sang this song for a talent show. Her grand finale was to throw herself off the stage into her boyfriend’s arms. At least no one got hurt.

Wow, Liz, that really was a grand finale. After that, I hope they’re still together.
