Today, I’m spotlighting a German rock band that originated in Hanover back in 1965. Scorpions gained massive popularity in the 80s, and their hit “Rock You Like a Hurricane” became one of my all-time favorites. Released in 1984, the song climbed to #25 on the U.S. charts that year. Yes !! You can never go wrong with Scorpions. That’s one of my favorites.
Have you heard the Live Unplugged set from Greece? It’s currently my favorite album of theirs. I have it on vinyl, and oh my goodness, it is SO good. The quality of the recording and the melodies of the performance are just incredible. If you haven’t listened to it yet, trust me—it’s a must-hear and I’m sure you’ll love it if you’re a fan. Bad German Boys of Rock! I had only heard this on the radio and I’d assumed the lead singer was a woman. The lead singer has a high clear voice.

You’re right, they are somewhat on the heavy side. I can tolerate most heavy metal songs, but there are some that give me headaches. They are mostly on the darker side of the spectrum. I don’t listen to those.
