Rockin’ Thursday XXX

Today, I’m featuring a soft rock song by a great female artist, “You’re So Vain” by Carly Simon, an American musician, singer, songwriter, and author. The song was released in November 1972 and reached the #1 spot in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand at the beginning of 1973. There was a big mystery about who the man in the song was, and in November 2015, Carly confirmed that the song was mostly about American actor Warren Beatty.1 Regardless of who the mystery man was, the song is pretty amazing. I hope you enjoy the video, and have a great Rockin’ Thursday!

  1. Great choice as usual, Edward! You always gotta wonder and speculate sometimes about music and who certain songs are for or about, kinda like writing poetry too. Love this song as well!

    1. Thank you, Laura. Well, that’s not the case with Shakira. The entire Latin community knows that the song “Pa’ Tipos Como Tú” is about her ex, Gerard Piqué. There is a part where she said that he changed a Rolex for Casio. 😂
