Rockin’ Thursday XIII

Guns N’ Roses is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in March 1985 when local bands Hollywood Rose and L.A. Guns merged. Their debut album, “Appetite for Destruction,” was released in 1987 and included hits such as “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Paradise City,” but it was “Sweet Child O’ Mine” that became the band’s only single to reach number one on the Billboard chart. For today’s edition of Rockin’ Thursday, I’m featuring that song and check out Slash’s spectacular guitar solos. I hope you enjoy the video and have a great Rockin’ Thursday!

  1. Appetite is a certified classic, but I admit I love the Illusion discs as well, even though a lot of people griped about them being too overblown, etc.
Nice choice this week as always, Edward! 🤘🤘

    1. Absolutely, Kevin. I like those two albums also. Use Your Illusion I and II bring a lot of memories. I heard a lot of those songs on the buses at the reception center and during basic training. Good times.

      1. I have a lot of memories from those two albums as well, Edward. 1991 was a damn fine year for rock music in general. In addition to G N’ R, Van Halen, Ozzy, and Skid Row all had killer releases.
Side note: “Yesterdays” off UYI II might be my favorite G N’ R song.
